Henry Smith MP has welcomed recent announcements by the Government that will help savers in Crawley.
Henry said;
“This Government’s triple lock ensures that the state pension will increase by the highest out of earnings, inflation, or 2.5 per cent.
“In 2015-16, the basic state pension will go up by 2.5 per cent, rising to £115.95 a week. I am also assured to see protection for those on disability benefits, whose payments will go up by the statutory minimum of 1.2 per cent from next April.
“I am pleased that the ISA limit is going up to £15,240. Additionally; at present, when someone dies, the savings in an ISA lose their tax free status. Under the Government’s plans, ISAs can be passed on while remaining tax free.
“These are the right actions for savers across Crawley, and throughout our country.”
