Henry Smith MP has hailed new figures showing that around 1,000 business across the town are benefiting from the Employment Allowance since its introduction in April, making it easier to hire staff and create jobs. Henry said; “I am pleased that companies throughout are benefiting from the Government’s Employment Allowance. “The Employment Allowance means a firm can hire someone on £22,400 a year, or four people working full-time on the minimum wage, without paying any employer national insurance at all.” HM Revenue & Customs estimate that 1,000 employers in Crawley are benefiting from lower Employer National Insurance contributions, and that the figure across the South East stands at 127,000. Henry continued; “A number of local business people have told me how this Allowance is helping their companies create more jobs and invest in expanding – I am glad that this Government’s policies are having a direct effect on helping our town.” Follow Henry daily via: www.twitter.com/HenrySmithMP www.facebook.com/henrysmithmp www.youtube.com/HenrySmithMP www.henrysmith.info
