Henry Smith MP has welcomed the announcement that two Crawley schools have been successful in applications for the second phase of Priority School Building Programme (PSBP2).
Pound Hill Junior School and Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School have been selected for the programme, which is intended to replace or fully refurbish individual buildings in the worst condition.
Henry said;
“I am pleased that two schools in our town will benefit from the Priority School Building Programme. This investment will improve the facilities for teachers and pupils at these schools for many years to come.
“Of the three schools in West Sussex who will receive this assistance, two of them are in Crawley. I will continue to bang the drum in Whitehall on behalf of Crawley’s schools.”
Officials working on PSBP2 will make further contact during February and March 2015, to arrange a visit to understand any specific site issues, and to review the best method and timescale for delivering the work.
Henry continued:
“Such investment in the future can only be made with a growing economy, and I will continue to make representations to the Department for Education on behalf of all Crawley pupils and teachers.”
