Henry Smith MP has joined Conservative parliamentary colleagues in welcoming Dr Brian May, Queen guitarist and Founder of the Save Me Trust, to the House of Commons for the launch of Team Fox, a new campaign launched to ensure the ban on fox hunting is maintained.
Henry said;
“It was a pleasure to welcome Brian May to Westminster once again, and I am delighted that as well as some familiar faces, many new Conservative MPs elected last month are joining us in our campaign for greater protection for animals.
“As the new Co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Animal Welfare, I am looking forward to continuing my work on these issues – they are matters very close to my heart.
“I was also delighted to see Lorraine Platt, the Founder of Conservatives Against Fox Hunting (Blue Fox), and a number of colleagues from the League Against Cruel Sports.
“I am pleased that many people in Crawley share my passion for animal welfare – I hope people across our town will get in touch to let me know their main topics of concern, ahead of my next meeting with the APPG.”
