Henry Smith MP has visited the Sainsbury’s supermarket in West Green, to speak to staff and see how the store works.
Henry said;
“It was a pleasure visiting Sainsbury’s West Green store, this time not for the usual Saturday shop but to meet and speak with staff. They even let me work the deli counter - I think the pizzas I made were OK!
“As well as talking to the store management, I wanted to listen to those on the shop floor, particularly part-time staff who are balancing college and work.
"My thanks to Sainsbury's for allowing me to spend time with their employees to directly hear their experiences. I'm always keen to engage in such ways locally so I can better reflect Crawley's views in Parliament.
“My first ever job was in a supermarket so the day was a bit nostalgic too!”
