Henry Smith MP has written to schools across Crawley to let them know about Parliament Week, a national programme of events running from 14th to 20th November, encouraging young people to get involved with our democracy.
Henry said;
“Part of my job as Crawley’s Member of Parliament is to go to schools and colleges across the town, and explain what my role consists of, as well as the work of Parliament.
“I am delighted to support Parliament Week, as we look to engage young people in our political system, ahead of the next general election and beyond.”
Parliament Week is a programme of events which aim to inspire, engage and connect people with our parliamentary democracy.
The theme is ‘Do Democracy’ – encouraging our young people to get involved. It is co-ordinated by the House of Commons with support from the House of Lords.
Henry continued;
“I am always keen to answer questions about politics, the role of an MP, or any other issue that may be of interest. Feel free to email me directly at [email protected].
“If you have a question about an issue or a non-personal matter, feel free to ask me on Facebook, www.facebook.com/HenrySmithMP, or Twitter, www.twitter.com/HenrySmithMP”
