Henry Smith MP has given his backing to the 22nd annual World Mental Health Day – Friday 10th October.
Henry said;
“There have been a number of campaigns which are looking to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. There is more to be done of course, but the work of Time to Change, organised by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, has been influential in changing people’s attitudes.
“The new Education Secretary, Nicky Morgan's, mission is to strengthen children’s mental health services, and the Government is working to ensure more co-ordination across health, schools and social services.
“In Crawley, the Citizens Advice Bureau are committed to helping anyone in our town with a mental illness. They can be contacted either by phone on 0344 477 1171, weekdays from 9.30am to 4pm, or in person at the Crawley Advice Centre, The Orchard, 1-2 Gleneagles Court, Brighton Road, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 6AD.
“Of course, I am also on hand to assist, either by calling my local office on 01293 934554, via email to [email protected] or by writing to me at the House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA.”
